This is a complete and versatile, portable, laboratory which allows for carrying out diagnostic research on historic building materials in a simple and intuitive manner, making accessible to all those who operate in the field of Cultural property Conservation, those basic techniques for understanding the basic characteristics of natural and artificial stone materials and of the related phenomena of degradation. The analytical methods used conform with Italian (Italian Union of Cultural property) and European (EN - Conservation of Cultural Property) legislation, and the user interface is multi-lingual.

This is an indispensible and efficient instrument in the management of an asset, from the identification of the project to conservation action, with particular attention to programmed maintenance.

environmental and rising damp dehumidifying Rising Damp. Is a widespread problem which is dificult to solve, and one of the most dangerous and damaging agents in safeguarding and maintaining wall structures and buildings in good condition, as well as the well-being of residents.

Rising damp is connected to the phenomenon of capillary action in all walls remaining in direct contact with humid terrain. Salts carried by the water are deposited at various heights, saline products remaining absorbed in the pores of the material, crystallising and applying notable internal pressures. Consequently, the stone surfaces become corroded, mortar joints become weakened, parts of the plasterwork detach and the physical characteristics of the material are diminished.
